CAHL Governor's Needed!

Aug. 05, 2019

Are you interested in having a more hands on role with minor hockey this year?

FMHA is looking for CAHL governors to be the main contact and oversee the happenings of their assigned teir. This is an important role that helps identify issues and makes sure hockey runs smoothly for thousands of kids each year. As a CAHL Governor you will attend training meetings and are expected to be knowledgeable of the policies and procedures noted in the Governors handbook. You should be available to respond to emails in a timely fashion to represent FMHA with CAHL.

CAHL Governor responsabilities include the following...

  •  Be the primary contact and manager of their assigned tier for the entire season

  •  Provide consistent leadership of the assigned tier for the entire season

  •  Manage the tiering process for the assigned tier and make recommendations on team placements for the tiering review

  •  Confirm all tier activities as needed by other league volunteers

  •  Be the communication link with the participants and league volunteers

  •  Track and record the tier's activities including fines, suspensions and issues

  •  Provide feedback to the Lead Governors and CAHL Executive identifying issues, corrections that are needed or fines/suspensions
